Aštuntąjį kartą Klaipėdoje vyksiantis festivalis „Jauno teatro dienos“ iš ankstyvo pavasario keliasi į karštą vasarą ir vėl buria teatro profesionalus intensyviai kūrybinei savaitei uostamiestyje.
Festivalio „Jauno teatro dienos” esmė – kūrybinės teatro profesionalų dirbtuvės, kurių metu skirtingų sričių kūrėjai per ribotą laiką kartu rengia mini spektaklius, savo kūrinius netradicinėse erdvėse pristato žiūrovams bei mezga kūrybinius ryšius tolesniam bendradarbiavimui.

Dirbtuvių formatas:

• 2020 m. festivalyje pirmą kartą vyks dviejų skirtingų tipų kūrybinės dirbtuvės – programos SPRINT ir LONG.
• Rugpjūčio 25 d. burtų keliu iš atrinktų festivalio dalyvių bus sudarytos trys SPRINT ir trys LONG komandos. Kiekvieną komandą sudarys režisierius, scenografas, dramaturgas ir 8 aktoriai.
• Programos SPRINT komandos kas dvi dienas keisis rotacijos principu bei kaskart gaus po naują organizatorių parinktą inspiraciją, pagal kurią kurs pasirodymus.
• SPRINT programos pasirodymų peržiūros trečiadienį (26 d.) ir penktadienį (28 d.) vyks viešose Klaipėdos erdvėse.
• Programoje LONG dalyvaujantys kūrėjai visas festivalio dienas nagrinės vieną ir tą pačią renginio organizatorių parinktą inspiraciją ir savaitės pabaigoje – šeštadienį (29 d.) – parodys trijų dalių spektaklį Klaipėdos Kultūros farike.
• Festivalio „Jauno teatro dienos“ pasirodymus tradiciškai lydės kūrėjų, teatro kritikų ir žiūrovų diskusijos bei kūrybinių darbų analizės.

Skirtingų sričių kūrėjus uostamiestyje kasmet suburiantis renginys kviečia ir publiką būti festivalio dalimi bei tapti pirmaisiais, o gal būt ir vieninteliais teatrinių eksperimentų žiūrovais – juk tai, kas yra sukuriama festivalyje „Jauno teatro dienos“, niekada nebūna pakartota ar pakartojama.

The 8th international festival Young Theatre Days aims to bring together actors, directors, stage designers, dramaturgist and critics in the non-traditional theatre space, giving them an opportunity to create together and establish contacts for further cooperation. The project involves creative workshops, the essence of which is the cooperation of young professionals from different creative fields in the limited time frame, preparing the performance and presenting it to the audience.

The format of the workshop:

• There will be two different stages: SPRINT and LONG. 4 teams for each stage will be formed, consisting of 6 actors, a theatre director, a dramaturgist and a stage designer. Each team will work separately during the workshops;
• The group of actors will be led by the directors who, will host the workshops;
• The teams of SPRINT stage will get inspirations for every new day and will have to present the performance in the evening;
• The LONG stage will be working on a piece of novel, where every team will get a part of it. The performance will be presented after 4 days of work.
• The workshops and open previews of short plays will take place in the spaces near The Culture Factory and other public locations of the city;
• Every day the meetings with the viewers, the analyses of works and discussions will be held.
• The best performances from both stages will be selected and nominated with a financial prize.
